Department of Computer Application

The department offers three courses, namely Bachelor of Science in Information Technolgy (B.Sc – IT), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Masters of Computer Application (MCA). These courses deal with providing the underlying knowledge and help students develop programming skills, networking skills; learn application development, programming languages and modern techniques of Information Technology. The department of computer application has created its niche as the best provider of MCA course as it equips the students with relevant and conceptualized professional skills and guide them towards a bright future and career through imbibing in them the values of ‘Sincerity’, ‘Hard Work’ and ‘Ethics’ along with the strong academic base.

The Master of Computer Applications course introduced in Dev Bhoomi Institute of Technology, Dehradun in the year 2006, affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. The need for computer professionals in all industry sectors including business, health, education and the arts is always in high demand. For this reason, we impart the knowledge of Computer Applications to enable our students to meet the global requirements and challenges.

We in DBGI, apart from university course curriculum also provide value-added modules as per industrial requirement to make our students perfectly fit for the industry.

We also promote the innovative ideas of our students by organizing a national level techno-fest “Navadhara” with cash prizes.
