About Event
Call for code https://developer.ibm.com/callforcode/ is a multi-year global initiative that rallies developers to create practical, effective, and high-quality applications based on cloud, data, and artificial intelligence that can have an immediate and lasting impact on humanitarian issues. Call for Code brings startup, academic, and enterprise developers together and inspires them to solve the most pressing societal issues of our time.
Hackathon will run for one month. In this event approx. 150 students of any program will take participate. Hackathon is an invention where attendees dream up and bring to life ideas for apps, websites, robots, and more and get amazing prizes after the winner.
AIM of the Events
The aim of this event to remove the hesitation of students at the time of coding and getting conceptual ideas to convert in real-life situations.
From this event, students learn a lot. And get prizes after the win.
Content of the Event/TimeLine
- Week 1: College promotes events and sends mailers, IBM shall help with content.
- Week 2:
Day 1- Registration by participants and list provided likewise by college
Day 3,4,5 – Workshop for students - Week 3: Hackathon begins – IBM Mentors and students and DBGI Mentors work together to create solutions.
- Evaluation begins and top teams are chosen, one more to be added if the number of participants is more.

Awards:
Exciting awards for top solutions. Additionally, the entries can also be submitted for IBM’s Call for Code Global Challenge and be eligible to win a
- Grand prize winner – $200,000 USD,
- Runner up First and second – $25,000 USD,
- Runner up Third and fourth – $10,000 USD
Call for Code Global Challenge also has a special University Edition prize Grand prize – $10,000 USD – Dispersed equally across the team and Each student team member will receive the opportunity to interview for a potential role at IBM. Runner up
