On 1^st October 2018, Department of Food Technology and Agriculture visited to Krishivan Centre, Upper Dhulkot near Datkali Selaqui road, Dehradun for mushroom cultivation training

Objectives:

• To know about steps involved in mushroom cultivation which are: Composting, Spawning, Casing, Pinning, and Harvesting.
• Preparation of mushroom spawn
• To know about difference between edible and poisonous mushroom
• To know about medicinal mushroom

Conclusion

It was a successful and interesting trip where students got knowledge of economic and health benefits of mushroom. Along with this they developed knowledge of organic and chemical methods of mushroom cultivation.
