National Level Cultural Fest – PINAK 2019 | DBGI Dehradun
Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions (DBGI), Dehradun, flagged off its annual cultural festival ‘PINAK 2019’ on 24th April, 2019, at their campus. PINAK is a culmination of arts, music, sports, and theatre that puts to test the creative, artistic, intellectual, and oratory skills of the aspiring students across the country.The 3-day festival was kick0started by the popular Punjabi music singer – Sukh-E. A myriad of exhilarating cultural events such as Muzika – Singing, Footloose – Dance, Cut camera active – Movie making, and a celebrity night with Sukh-E summed up the 1st day of PINAK. Speaking on the occasion, Sukh-E commented, “It’s been an honor to be a part of an event that offers a platform for the students to showcase their talent and compete among fraternities. My only advice to the students would be to continue following their passions and not give up on their education for it. Everyone’s blessed with a hidden talent; all you need to do is to discover it.”
Following the 1st day, the 2nd and 3rd day witnessed a diverse combination of shows and competitions including roadies, treasure hunt, stage performances, and an ultra-grand star night with the Bollywood singer, Shalmali Kholgade. Talking about her experience at DBGI, Shalmali Kholgade said, “Giving a performance in a college environment amidst young crowd is always special. DBGI’s students have been exceptionally enthusiastic, accepting, warm, and cheerful as an audience, and this is a great sign of being future-ready and well-groomed. At the end of the performance, all I could see was the happy faces acknowledging my presence – this is something I’m going to cherish for the rest of my life.”
PINAK is an annual cultural festival hosted by Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions that aims to provide a platform to encourage healthy competition among the students and is a great opportunity for the audiences to learn and celebrate. PINAK has established itself well from its inception and has come a long way with an ever-increasing participation from across the city. While addressing the students, (insert spokesperson name), (insert spokesperson designation), Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions, emphasized the significance of such events in the overall development and growth of students. Nearly 500+ students from across different colleges participated in different competitions this year. He added, “PINAK is a 3-day extravaganza that promises to deliver a unique and eventful experience for the ones who believe in the power of art. Our objective at DBGI is to encourage students to excel academically and pursue their interests at the same time. We believe in preparing students to be all-rounders and not just thorough scholars.”
